** Updated Newsflow Account Creation: 17 DEC 19
Loupe has been set up to allow for automatic account setup for newsflow and will now be managed by the Service Desk. The process for user setup in Newsflow is listed below.
Setup:
- New User for Newsflow will need to have the Loupe entailment added to their account
- Once the Loupe entitlement has been granted the Newsflow account login will match domain account logins.
- Once created, you can manage the users roles by choosing the entitlement config option, under the gear button in loop.
New User setup prior to Loupe Automation:
Follow these easy steps to create a user in newsflow. You must have the admin or site admin role to peform this action.
You must be logged into newsflow @ https://go.npgco.com/newsflow
1. From the sidebar nav menu in newsflow, choose Admin -> Users
2. Click on the Add User button.
3. Fill out the form:
- First Name: Employees First Name
- Last Name: Employees Last Name
- Username: make sure to user firstname.lastname (eg: john.doe)
- Email: Business Email address
- Location: Location where all uploads will be routed to
- Roles: Roles the user should have. 99% of users will only have the Reporter roll
4. Click Add User
The user will then receive a welcome email and a link to reset their password. You do not have the capability of setting a user's password, only the user can do that through the set up link - or by choosing "Forgot Password" on the login screen
