NPG utilizes the Wasabi cloud storage platform to store News archive, including full news program archives. NPG provides several methods of accessing the content stored on the cloud archive.
News Stories
All News Stories that are stored on the Cloud Archive are indexed in Newsflow. News team members can access these stories by going to newsflow and clicking the Archive Browse link.
In this interface, select the location (or locations) to search, select the date range to search, and any keywords. Note that the keywords are currently only determined from the file’s name. Click the Go button to get the results.
Users can click the video thumbnail to view the video in their browser, or click the Download button to download a copy of the video to their computer.
In most locations, new news stories are added to the archive automatically every hour. These stories are pulled directly from the news system file storage. In some locations, the letter Q or Z must be the last letter of the file name in order to be archived, other locations archive everything.
