Microsoft Print to PDF explained
If you need to print (save) a document to a PDF or split a PDF by pages please follow the following instructions
*Microsoft Print to PDF may be better thought of as Microsoft Save to PDF since no physical copy is printed, just a digital copy*
***The example is using Adobe Reader DC, other programs may vary***
1. Open up the document and then go up to File and click on Print
2. On the print options screen click the drop-down arrows next to the printers and choose Microsoft Print to PDF
3. You can then put in which pages you would like to print to a PDF (In my example I will only be printing the first page of this 7 page PDF)
4. Choose where you would like to save the PDF (In my example I will be saving it to my desktop under the name Test 1)
Following these instructions will result in a saved PDF named Test 1.pdf being printed (saved) to my desktop. This printed (saved) the first page of what was a 7 page PDF. I could have saved any page of the PDF by making that choice on the print options page.
You now should have the ability to save almost any document as a PDF and Split a PDF up using the Microsoft Print to PDF feature.
